In celebration of Family Day, the Barangay Local Government Unit (BLGU) of Barangay 76-A, in partnership with the different sectors and organizations including the Mindanao Migrants Center for Empowering Actions, Inc. (MMCEAI) and our community organizations — Nagkahiusang Pamilya sa OFWs sa Barangay Bucana (NAGOPABB) and Bucana Anak OFWs Youth Organization (BAY-O) — Kagawad Rhea Olan-olan and Punong Barangay Robert Olan-olan led the activity today, September 8, 2024, at the SIR Covered Court Area.
The enthusiastic Anak OFWs from BAY-O showcased their creative skills by offering face painting and fun games on their booth. In addition, the dynamic members of NAGOPABB conducted an information campaign about safe migration by giving constituents information, education, and campaign (IEC) materials. The Migrants Booth not only offered fun activities but it also highlighted the different photos of our OFWs and their work abroad, and the members of BAY-O and NAGOPABB bonded, together with their families, over biryani.
