Women and their Children Abandoned by OFW Partners Responding to the growing phenomenon of abandonment among OFW families, MMCEAI advocates for the adoption of legislated and institutionalized mechanisms protecting the interest and welfare of women and their children abandoned by OFW partners.
Decent Work for Domestic Workers Filipino domestic workers employed locally and internationally have been historically subjected to exploitation, abuse, and marginalization. MMCEAI contributes to multi-stakeholder initiatives pushing for the implementation of laws and legal instruments that protect the rights and well-being of domestic workers.
Migration, Environment, Peace and Development Environment, peace and development issues intersect with migration, inasmuch as human-induced disasters and calamities establish to trigger forces migratory movements in Mindanao.
MMCEAI engages government and civil society stakeholders to identify gaps and take concrete steps to address challenges that arise from these interconnected and mutually reinforcing issues. MMCEAI particularly tales on the concerns on illegal recruitment and human trafficking in this advocacy.
